Southern Nevada Chapter NewsA memorial service for Bob Alpert will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Midbar Kodesh Temple, which is located in Henderson at 1940 Paseo Verde Pkwy. Take the 215 Beltway to Henderson and exit onto S. Valle Verde Dr. Head south a short distance to Paseo Verde Pkwy., then turn right. The temple will be on your right. Click here for a street map. Board Members please note: The next Board meeting will be at 1:30 PM on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at the Egg Works on Rainbow Blvd., located just south of the 215 Beltway. This is one week later than usual (Feb. 12). The reason for the change is primarily because a memorial service for recently departed Board member, Bob Alpert, will be held on Feb. 12, and many of us will be attending. This website has a new URL (web address), which is: http://ccny.xadar.com. If you used the old URL (http://xadar.com/ccny) to get here, it was redirected to this new web address. Eventually, the old URL will no longer work, so please update your favorites/bookmark list ASAP. The Alumni Beat is a new E-newsletter published by the CCNY Alumni Association. It's all about happenings at alma mater. Click the link in the Menu. Melissa Blass is a Junior at CCNY who maintains a high GPA and also participates in team sports. Yet, she finds the time to help others in the community. Melissa was selected by the CCNY Alumni Association to receive our chapter's prestigious $4,000 scholarship for 2009. This scholarship was made possible by our alumni, families, and friends who attended our fun events through the year and donated to our Scholarship Fund.
